Some of our installed solar systems

Fyrö Farm

Fyrö Farm is an old captain’s residence from the 18th century. It has been owned and operated for the past 10 years by Johan Lagerholm. In addition to the family, the farm is also home to sheep and horses.

Johan is also an advisor to other farmers and chairman of LRF Södermanland (LRF is the federation of Swedish farmers).

VajaTrack installation: In summer 2026, a VajaTrack solar tracking system was commissioned at Fyrö Farm with 8 mounts and a total installed capacity of 18 kW. The system also includes 15 kWh battery storage and a weather station. The solar tracker mounts are positioned on a rocky slope that is otherwise not suitable for agricultural use.

Brobybruk solparksanläggning

Brobybruk

Brobybruk is an agricultural property in Kårsta in Vallentuna with forest, fields, and a horse farm. It is owned and operated by the Ajland family.

VajaTrack installation: In summer 2026, a VajaTrack solar tracking system was commissioned at Brobybruk with 15 mounts and a total installed capacity of 33 kW. The system also includes 31 kWh battery storage and a weather station.

During autumn 2026, Vaja will also supplement the installation with island mode operation to ensure robust access to electricity even during power outages.

“We primarily view our solar power as a secure investment with good returns. And it naturally feels especially good that we are simultaneously reducing the farm’s climate footprint. Since we depend on our own well pump and heating loops to prevent pipes from freezing in winter, the combination with battery storage and island mode operation is also important to us.” – Mathias Ajland

Kärrbo Parsonage

Kärrbo Parsonage is owned and operated by the Berglund/Andersson family. They love the farm and the animals and strive to manage the farm in the most sustainable way possible.

They are deeply committed to a living farm and strive for sustainable food production and stewardship of the landscape. On the farm, they grow vegetables and flowers without chemicals and artificial fertilizers, and allow cows, sheep, and horses to graze on their fields for maximum carbon sequestration and creation of a diversity of insects and birds. They also operate their own farm shop.

Mälardalen University has installed several ground-based solar energy solutions on the farm and conducts active research in agrivoltaics, where the goal is to use the same land area both for growing crops and for “harvesting energy.”

VajaTrack installation: In fall of 2025, a VajaTrack solar tracking system was installed at Kärrbo Parsonage with 8 mounts and a total installed capacity of 18 kW.

Interview with the owner

Conversation with Ulf Andersson

What do you think about solar energy?
– It’s the best thing there is. Then little me can generate electricity on my own property where I live and become independent. It creates security. It’s like a dream, it’s the future.

How do you think farmers in general should think about solar energy?
– It’s so obvious. If cost-effective technology for hydrogen and ammonia becomes available in the future, we will also be able to solve long-term storage. I am convinced that this will happen everywhere.

What do you think about the VajaTrack system and why?
– They are incredibly smart. The idea of following the sun to increase electricity production while simultaneously avoiding wind loads is super.
